Plant Health: Leaves

In this article, we go through the conditions of your plant leaves that determine its health and how to help or prevent it from being unhealthy.

Yellowing Leaves
If leaves are turning yellow, there may be a few reasons. One of which is not getting enough nutrients. We suggest to check our article here for more detailed information on how to maintain your nutrients. Once the leaves turn yellow, it means that they no longer have their pigment (chlorophyll) and can't turn green again. Rest assured, once the plant is healthy and can recover again, there will be newer leaves grown. We suggest pruning these yellow leaves.

Brunt Leaf Ends
If leaves have burnt-ends, it indicates that your plant is getting too much nutrients. We suggest to check our article here for more detailed information on how to maintain your nutrients. If you still have water and nutrients mixed in your water reservoir as well as enough space for more water, you can top up the water to dilute the nutrients amount. You can also alternatively refill and restart the water reservoir setup if you wish.

Curling Plant Leaves
Typically, curling plants is not much of a concern. There are several reasons that this is happening such as too much water, too much light, temperature being too high and/or pests. We can rule out too much water and too much light as possibilities as our hydroponic gardens have been created to provide the right amount of water and light for plant growth. It would then only be either the temperature is too high and/or pests. It is rare to find pests for indoor gardening. However, if there happens to be any, you will be able to see it and get rid of it. More information can be searched on our Help Centre. In the usual cases, the temperature is too high. You can place the garden in a cooler area to solve this problem.
